The late, great Francis Bailey probably would have shook his head over the notion that more than 200 people would burn an evening listening to stories about him. He might have had something to say at home later too since it was his family spinning the yarns.
That’s exactly what happened Wednesday, Jan. 10, at the Community House where the Historical Village and Museum rounded up six family members and friends for one of its Twilight Talks about a man who would be on Sanibel’s Mount Rushmore.
A large audience was captivated by tales from sitting on dad’s lap, to finding papers in his office, to a fire he started that he didn’t really want to talk about. Read More
