Wearing a Mask is Now Required in All Sanibel Businesses

If you are planning to visit Sanibel Island in the near future or if you are a resident, you should be aware that the Sanibel City Council voted to make wearing masks a requirement for all staff and customers working in or entering all Sanibel shops and restaurants. This mandate (by order of the City of Sanibel Proclamation 20-040), went into effect on Friday, July 3rd, 2020, and will remain in effect until the city council votes otherwise. Many places offer masks if you do not have one or you can purchase one, but it is best to have your own face covering at the ready, when on Sanibel.
