Sanibel & Captiva Hurricane Reentry Passes – NEW LOCATION!
Effective Monday, November 21, 2022, Sanibel & Captiva Islands’ Hurricane Reentry Passes will be issued at a new location at the Fort Myers Regional Library Meeting Rooms located at 1651 Lee St, Ft. Myers, FL 33901. There is free parking in the Lee Street parking lot for the library campus.
Hurricane Passes will NO LONGER be issued at the Crowne Plaza Hotel or the Title Group of Fort Myers Office/ReMax Building at 7910 Summerlin Lakes Drive, Ft. Myers.
Hurricane Passes will be issued at the new location as follows:
  • Monday 11/21/2022 – 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., closed 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Tuesday 11/22/2022 – 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., closed 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Wednesday 11/23/2022 – 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., closed 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Thursday 11/24/2022 – CLOSED for Thanksgiving Holiday
  • Friday 11/25/2022 – CLOSED for Thanksgiving Holiday
  • Saturday 11/26/2022 – 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • Sunday 11/27/2022 – CLOSED
Effective Monday, November 28, 2022, operational hours will be:
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday – *8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Tuesdays – *8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
*Closed daily from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
The City of Sanibel thanks Lee County for providing the space at the Fort Myers Regional Library Meeting Rooms.
Hurricane Ian Recovery – Community Updates Held via Facebook Live
NEW Location!
Beginning Tuesday, November 22, 2022 (5 p.m.), the City’s Hurricane Ian Facebook Live Updates will be broadcast from a new location at the Fort Myers Regional Library Meeting Rooms, located at 1651 Lee Street, Fort Myers, FL 33901.
This is the same location where the Sanibel & Captiva Hurricane Reentry passes will be distributed. The City will continue to broadcast the community updates through Facebook Live. You may follow the Official City of Sanibel Facebook Page by clicking here.
The City’s Hurricane Ian Community Updates/Facebook Live Updates will now be held once each week. The updates will be held every Tuesday at 5 p.m., except on days when the City Council meets. City staff will provide an update at each City Council meeting.
